Star Wars: Attack of the Clones’s plot in a nutshell! (Spoilers)

In the second adventure of the Prequels, the story deepens and the Trilogy reaches new lows and then highs. Ten years after the events of Ep. 1, the Clone Wars begin. After Senator Padme Amidala’s ship is bombed and her decoy is killed, she receives the help of Jedi knight Obi-Wan Kenobi and his apprentice, the now 20 years old Anakin Skywalker. When the bounty hunter Zam Wesell is killed by a toxic dart after Anakin and Obi-Wan chase her through the city-planet of Coruscant, the Republic begins an investigation into who is trying to kill Padme and who killed the bounty hunter. Anakin is sent with Padme to escort her to Naboo so she will be safe, and Kenobi goes to the planet Kamino to find the makers of the dart that killed Wesell. Anakin and Padme kiss on Naboo, and they end up deciding not to fall in love, even though they love each other? I’ve seen this movie a few times, and it still doesn’t make sense. Don’t think too much about it. On Kamino, Obi-Wan instead discovers a secret clone army for the Republic, evidently created by the late Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas. Obi-Wan soon meets the bounty hunter Jango Fett, along with his son Boba, and he suspects that Jango is the assassin they were searching for. He reports this to the Jedi masters Mace Windu and Yoda, and then he engages in a fight with Jango, but he and Boba escape. Padme and Anakin travel to his old home of Tatooine, and Anakin’s mother is killed by vicious Sand People. He then complains that he should be the most powerful Jedi ever. Obi-Wan flies in his starfighter to the planet Geonosis, has a battle in the asteroid field, and lands and is ambushed by battle droids. He soon meets the former Jedi-turned Sith Count Dooku, and Dooku tells him that the Senate is under the control of a Sith Lord named Darth Sidious. Padme convinces Anakin to go with her to help Obi-Wan on Geonosis, and they are captured too. The threesome seem about to die in the execution arena, but then Mace Windu and a bunch of Jedi attack and battle the evil Separatists. Jango literally loses his head, and then the Battle of Geonosis begins. Soon, Count Dooku duels (shortly) with Anakin and Obi-Wan and then Yoda. Dooku escapes and he reports back to Darth Sidious and gives him the plans for the Death Star. On Coruscant, Yoda tells Kenobi and Windu that the Clone War has begun, and on Naboo, Anakin and Padme have a secret wedding, with R2-D2 and C-3PO the only spectators.
